Small Love Poems on Partings and Meetings

Labels: ,

The only way to deal with loss – as a horribly unwelcome guest that you know will show up eventually. And so you deny it and reject it and ignore it and laugh in its face. You toss it out into the street and push it away and fight it off, and only it has landed square in your lap, only then do you deal with it.
~ Michael Johnson
Parting and meeting are inevitable. But while partings can never be desired, meeting may be hard to come by. When a group of friends part ways, we "keep in touch" or "we can always meet again". But, will we?

Our hearts ache at the loss of a loved one or a close friend. Sometimes, we make do with what we have by collecting autographs; sometimes, we just laugh them away. Whatever the case, we miss our acquaintances, and within the very center of our souls, we shed tears which flow stronger than rivers, fiercer than tidal waves. A ripple that our tears create waves through the passage of time.

And yet, regardless of how high the wave may be, someday, it will have to die down.

But the memory lasts. It can never be forgotten, just put it aside somewhere we cannot see, because "what's out of sight, is out of mind". However, it will be there, reminding us of the pain felt, the sorrow experienced. The liquid crystals can never cease to rain on the windows of our souls.

Cheers
Johnny
